  We were staying in Gisborne for a few day's and decided to go out for dinner on Saturday night. We found Charlie's Italian Restaurant. I felt like Pizza and so my wife and I ordered a large capricciosa. It was the best pizza I have had in over 30 years, no exaggeration. The pizza's you get everywhere these days are flavourless, and are like thin shoe soles and the topping if any just falls off into a pile of slop. Charlie's pizzas have real 100% mozzarella, the topping was generous and tasty. The base was not too thin, and not too thick. If you are in Gisborne and feel like Pizza or anything on their menu, I highly recommend Charlie's.

  Quick service & food was on the table very fast for what seemed like a semi busy night, but we didnt walk out raving about the food itself. I couldnt finish my meal of the calamari salad. Great place for the family who has kids & just wants a quick meal away from home. I'd rather pay the few dollars extra for a better quality meal

  $49 for 1 large and one small so so pizza and 2 cokes is pretty pricey by any standard. We only went to Charlies out of desperation. We won't be back in a hurry.
